Warwick leads the Continuum Financial Planners’ team through his work with the online procedures and processes to generate advice documents, using technology to keep the processes efficient and cost effective for our clients. His accounting background is invaluable to helping clients with their financial goals.

Warwick commenced his financial planning career in July 2005 when he transitioned from his role accounting role. In September 2008 Warwick became a shareholder and Director of Continuum Financial Planners Pty Ltd.

Warwick’s professional interests lie in wealth accumulation strategies, investment product analysis, portfolio blending and in personal risk insurance – all of which he delivers efficiently and effectively to an ever-growing portfolio of clients. His advisory and management pursuits have made a mark on the industry and this has been recognised in his appointment to membership of Queensland Securitor Circle in 2010 – a position he held for the duration of that specialist adviser group prior to the closure of Securitor as an AFSLicensee.

As a working Director of the company Warwick is responsible for HR matters, financial management policy and decisions; and IT infrastructure and maintenance, contributing at Board level to the development and implementation of company strategic policy generally. His role ensures the efficient delivery of ContinuumFP’s financial planning services.

Warwick holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in accounting and commercial computing, Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning); and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning. He is a member of CPA Australia with the status of Fellow of that organisation (and he has been awarded the Financial Planning Specialist designation by them). Warwick is also an associate member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.

Eric contributes to the efficiency of the team at Continuum Financial Planners with updating the website, maintaining our presence on social media platforms; and researching investment strategies and economic developments. Eric’s extraneous interests are in Governance – and support for equine eventing.

Eric Walters FCPA(FPS)

After 28 years as an accountant in public practice Eric commenced his work in the financial planning industry in October 2000. During his professional career, Eric has advised clients on a wide range of financial and general investment matters, whilst providing strategic business services to entrepreneurs and senior managers. Particular specialties that Eric brings to Continuum Financial Planners include the provision of advice/ solutions to:

  • clients with complex financial needs and who are generally, ‘time poor’;
  • business succession and estate planning needs; and
  • wealth creation/ protection strategies.

Eric is a senior financial planner at Continuum Financial Planners Pty Ltd and works with a financial planning services team that provides a diverse range of strategic wealth management advice and services to his clients. Eric is involved in developing the principles by which strategies for the Company’s clients are determined, whether in respect of investments or risk insurance recommendations.

As the senior Director of the company, Eric is also closely involved in the operational activities and processes of the company, takes a leadership role in relation to marketing and strategic policies and is active in the team’s monitoring of market activity of the various investment products utilised in the portfolios of clients of the company.

Damien has a wealth of experience in financial planning businesses which, together with his wealth management expertise, brings a valued and independent viewpoint to the Continuum Financial Planners’ discussion table. His extraneous interest is in Conservation; and in assisting the rural community in their wealth management goals.

Damien-Ferguson Adviser Financial Planning Services

Damien commenced working as an Investment Adviser in 1986. He is currently an Authorised Representative of Lifespan Financial Planning Pty Ltd.

During his professional career he has gained extensive experience in all areas of financial planning services; and has built expertise in banking, wealth management, personal insurance, SMSF strategies, salary packaging, corporate super, succession and estate planning, and debt and gearing strategies.

Damien’s experience and expertise was accumulated in the following roles:

  • Established and ran a successful Financial Planning firm (with legal firm and chartered accountants as partners);
  • Wealth Management Relationship Manager for St George Private Bank;
  • State Manager for an Estate and Succession Planning company; and
  • Qld & PNG manager for the financial planning arm of one of the big four accounting firms.

Following his passion for working with his clients and delivering them exceptional, personalised service – and after extensive consultation and research into the culture and processes at Continuum – Damien joined Continuum Financial Planners under a joint venture associate agreement in March 2010.

Damien says that he is pleased and delighted with the relationship he sees established between Continuum’s advisors and their clients, going on to say “I look forward to delivering services to my loyal clients with full confidence that I will be able to deliver what I undertake on their behalf.

Alexia joined us in early July 2021 in the role created after our former CSO/ Paraplanner left to pursue career advancing options with another organisation. She has experience with regulatory and licensee compliance, business administration, client communications (including advice documentation preparation), and advice implementation. Alexia will be the first point of contact for most enquiries – and will keep our Advisers on their toes in dealing with your enquiries and requests.

She completed her secondary schooling and soon after, commenced working in the financial services industry in an administration role. Early in 2020, she relocated to Sydney when her parents took up roles in that area, and soon found employment in the financial services sector again. She has demonstrated competence in all the areas of work undertaken to date.

In spite of the challenges (of COVID), Alexia has returned to Queensland and was pleased to find work in the industry she has embraced as her career option of choice.

She came to us with experience in the types of work we need to have done – and with the added aspiration to become a financial planner herself within the next few years. To that end, Alexia started studying for a Diploma of Financial Planning during 2020 and expects to complete that course by end of 2021. She will then progress to an Advanced Diploma.

Alexia has a cheerful personality, is a confident communicator and she looks forward to working with our clients – and with our team.
